date and time of premiere; how to watch, stream

It's time once again to get ready for another season of Grey's Anatomy.

The 21st season of ABC's longest-running medical drama premieres Thursday after its summer hiatus.

The episode is expected to continue after the season 20 finale when Dr. Meredith Gray (Ellen Pompeo) left Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital to continue her Alzheimer's research and several employees were laid off, including Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone), Owen Hunt (Kevin). McKidd) and Chief of Surgery Teddy Altman (Kim Raver).

The new season is the first since the firefighter series “Station 19,” with which “Grey's” frequently crossed paths, ended in May. Jason George, who starred as Ben Warren on the series for seven seasons, will return in a recurring role, playing the beloved husband of Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson).
