Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees – including Mary J. Blige, Foreigner and Dave Matthews Band – were some of the honorees at a plaque dedication Friday in Cleveland, Ohio, ahead of Saturday's main event.

The anticipation for the weekend's extravaganza apparently started early for Matthews.

There were rumors that a fan managed to approach the rocker for selfies and a kiss on the cheek during an earlier rehearsal on Thursday, sources told us.

A representative for the band did not contact us for further details. But we heard everyone played it cool.

At Friday's induction at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Lakefront Museum, Blige was visibly impressed by the love she received from the applauding crowd.

“I love you baby! Love you! Go Mary!” shouted an enthusiastic fan.

“Thank you very much. It's been a long time coming and my fans know what I mean,” Blige said during a speech.

“But we came. We have seen. We have won. We are there! Thank you. I love you, love you, love you,” she added.

Cher, who once swore off any Hall of Fame honors, is expected at the main ceremony on Saturday evening.

A Tribe Called Quest, Peter Frampton, Kool and the Gang and Ozzy Osbourne will also be honored at the launch at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
