Diddy just broke his silence behind bars. Check out the surprising Instagram post

Many of Sean “Diddy” Combs' Instagram followers probably did a double take on Tuesday after seeing a post from him on their feeds.

That's because the embattled rapper is still behind bars without bail following his arrest in September on sex trafficking charges.

The surprise was quite harmless: he wishes his youngest child, his daughter Love, a happy second birthday. The carousel featured various images of the toddler eating cake and on the beach with her infamous father. The child's mother, Dana Tran – a cybersecurity expert whose birth certificate listed her residence as Newport Beach, California – is nowhere to be seen in the snaps.

The caption read the lyrics “Happy Birthday” and ended with “Daddy loves you.”

If curious minds wanted to know how the father of seven was able to post from his new home at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, they couldn't ask. Comments have been disabled.

According to UsWeekly, Combs has very limited access to the outside world, so it's likely someone close to him who knows his password did this for him.

A former MDC inmate told the magazine that “heavily monitored” inmates get 300 minutes a month for calls and “emails cost about five cents a minute.”

According to the detention center's website, phone and email privileges will be expanded to “maintain ties” and “increase the likelihood of successful re-entry into the community, thereby reducing the risk of recidivism.”
