Dierks Bentley at Live Oak Bank Pavillion Wilmington, NC 09/12/2024

Dierks Bentley stopped by Live Oak Bank Pavillion in Wilmington on September 12th as part of his Gravel And Gold tour to support his brand new album of the same name. He is supported by Lee Brice and Tanner Usrey on this tour.

The fact that it was a weekday concert didn't stop anyone from coming. The venue was packed with more people than I've ever seen in Live Oak! Starting his set promptly at 7, with the sun setting behind him and the water at his side, Tanner Usrey kicked off the evening in the best way possible!

While most people were still streaming in during the first two acts, Lee Brice had no one sitting down. From the stage, it looked like a parking lot…which sparked a high-energy rendition of Parking Lot Party to start his set, setting the tone for the evening that everyone was there to party.

Dierks Bentley came out with bright flashes and immediately played “Gold” from his new record. The rest of the evening was a mix of his classic hits, new hits and tributes to other great artists, including Toby Keith with Red Solo Cup and Tom Petty with American Girl.

His entire set evoked nostalgia for country summers and had fans of all ages singing along to every word of every song and dancing in the aisles. This is a must-see show and for Letterkenny fans, it's time to forgive Dierks for what happened to Katie Kat and see him live.

The Gravel and Gold tour's next stop is in Michigan on September 19th, and then it continues across the states before the tour ends in Florida on October 19th.
