Dodgers vs. Yankees: World Series odds

The 2024 World Series has been decided.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees, two storied franchises, will compete for the Commissioner's Trophy for the first time since 1981.

Both teams feature a variety of All-Star talent, including potential MVP in both leagues: Aaron Judge in the American League and Shohei Ohtani in the National League. Despite the star power that both teams bring, neither team has had much postseason success of late. The Dodgers won the title during the COVID-shortened 2020 season, but such a title doesn't taste as satisfying as one won during a full season.

The Yankees, meanwhile, are in search of another ring, their first since 2009. After failing to make the 2023 postseason, the team made a concerted effort to improve and added Juan Soto to its roster. Apparently the move paid off hugely.

But which team is likely to win? Both teams were the top seeds in their respective conferences entering the postseason, and both teams were top ten in MLB in OPS. These teams are very evenly matched, but Vegas still has its favorites.
