Donald Trump works at PA McDonald's to jab Kamala Harris

FEASTERVILEE-TREVOSE, Pa. – Call him McDonald Trump!

Former President Donald Trump served his rival some french fries and political shade during a visit behind the counter Sunday at McDonald's, drawing a huge crowd to the Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, fast-food restaurant.

McDonald's has long been one of Trump's favorite chains, but his visit to the Golden Arches Sunday doubled as an attempt to reignite his doubts about Vice President Kamala Harris' claims that she worked there in the 1980s.

“I'm leaving because she lied,” Trump, 78, teased on “Fox and Friends” last week, noting that he'll “do anything” while working in the kitchen.

Scores of people lined Street Road in Lower Southampton Township trying to order food from the former president at the McDonald's restaurant.

Some of the guests in line didn't seem to commit to a particular order.

“I just take whatever he gives me,” one man told The Post.

“Love him or hate him, I just think it’s really cool to see this moment in history,” Caitlin Hanlon, 33, a hairdresser from Feasterville who wore a pink MAGA hat, told The Post. “It’s a really cool moment, but of course I support it.”

Her campaign stated that during the summer between her freshman and sophomore years at Howard University in 1983, she worked at the cash register, fry station and ice cream machine at McDonald's on Central Avenue in Alameda, California.

“One of the reasons I even talk about having worked at McDonald's is because there are people in our country who work at McDonald's and are trying to raise a family,” Harris told MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle last month . “I worked there as a student.”

“I think part of the difference between me and my opponent is our view of the needs of the American people and what our responsibility is to meet those needs.”

Trump and his allies have pointed out that her 1987 resume made no mention of her alleged work at McDonald's, nor was there any evidence of it at all. Her campaign hit back, accusing him of making an unsubstantiated claim.

Some of these jibes are bolstered by the fact that vice presidential candidate Tim Walz was found to have embellished some details of his biography.

The 45th President has long been a fan of McDonald's. During the government shutdown in 2019, he famously ordered over 300 burgers in addition to fries and other menu items from McDonald's to honor the Clemson Tigers for winning the college football national championship that year because White House chefs were on vacation .

Trump said he personally paid for the meal, which was served on silver platters in the State Dining Room.

During his time in the political spotlight, Trump could be seen smiling next to various orders from McDonald's that he received from employees and occasionally in person.

Last year, for example, he visited a McDonald's in East Palestine, Ohio, after a toxic chemical spill that released harmful substances into the surrounding environment and sparked a health crisis.

Donald Trump Jr. once joked, “I think my dad knows the McDonald's menu a lot better than Kamala Harris ever did.”

McDonald's campaign stop comes amid a fierce battle for victory in Pennsylvania, which has the most Electoral College votes of the seven major battleground states.

“I'm going to McDonald's to eat fries,” Trump announced during a rally Saturday in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. “I think I'll do it tomorrow, and I think it'll be at a place in Pennsylvania, and I'll be standing next to the french fries.”

Later Sunday, Trump planned a rally in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and was scheduled to attend the Pittsburgh Steelers' game against the New York Jets at Acrisure Stadium.
