Drastic weather change next week

After a foggy start this morning it was a warm day. Patchy, dense fog is possible again tomorrow morning, more high clouds will alternate throughout the day, but it will still be warm. Cool mornings with warm afternoons will be the trend through Sunday. Temperatures are usually 5 to 10 degrees above average.

Temperatures will drop 5 to 25 degrees next week and tend to be 5 to 15 degrees below average as a low pressure trough moves south. Tuesday will be the coolest day, with 60 degrees on most coasts and valleys, 50 degrees in the mountains and even 70 degrees in the deserts.

Due to increased marine layer from the coast to the mountains, there is a slight chance of drizzle to light rain on Monday and Tuesday, especially during the overnight and morning hours.

Gusty winds will hit the mountains and deserts early next week, with westerlies 25 to 45 mph.

The marine layer will clear better on Wednesday, but temperatures will remain 5 to 10 degrees below average through Halloween. Expect cool conditions for trick-or-treaters at night!

Highest values from Saturday:
Coast: 67-79°
Inland: 82-90°
Mountains: 75-89°
Deserts:94-98°
