Drew Doughty injured in P1 against Vegas Golden Knights

Early in the first half of Wednesday's game in Las Vegas, Kings defenseman Drew Doughty apparently sustained an injury to his left ankle.

After being taken to the locker room for further evaluation, LA PR later announced that the 34-year-old defender would not return to the game.

No further information is available at this time. The team is likely waiting for further medical imaging of Doughty.

In his place, Jordan Spence and Kyle Burroughs were able to dramatically increase their time on the ice.
