Dussehra or Vijayadashami is a festival of immense cultural and religious significance in India. Celebrated at the end of Navratri, it symbolizes the victory of good over evil and commemorates Lord Rama's victory over the demon king Ravana as depicted in the Ramayana.

Additionally, the festival honors the triumph of Goddess Durga over the buffalo demon Mahishasura and symbolizes the eradication of negative forces.
