Early voting in Las Vegas begins Saturday. Here's what you need to know:

Early voting for the 2024 general election will take place for the first time in Clark County on Saturday, October 19th.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th, but voters have two weeks to cast their ballot in person, until Friday, November 1st.

How can I vote?

The early voting process is the same as voting on Election Day. When you arrive, your eligibility and signature will be verified. Once confirmed, you will receive a card to activate the voting machine.

You walk up to a touchscreen electronic voting machine, insert the card and cast your ballot. There will be a printed version of your ballot that you can review for accuracy.

Once finished, return your activation card to a poll worker.

Where can I vote?

Anyone registered to vote in Clark County can vote at any vote center. This means you can choose where you want to vote within the county, regardless of the address or precinct.

There will be a total of 91 early voting locations in Clark County: 22 long-term early voting locations and 69 short-term neighborhood voting locations.

I received a mail-in ballot. WHAT DO I DO?

All registered voters will receive a mail-in ballot unless they have opted out of receiving a ballot.

If you have not opted out of receiving a mail-in ballot and would like to vote in person, you must either return your ballot to the vote center or certify that you will not vote twice in the same election.

Can I submit a mail-in ballot?

All early voting locations also serve as mail-in ballot drop-off locations.

You can drop off a signed envelope with your ballot inside and drop it in a mailbox.

How do I know if I am registered to vote?

You can check that Clark County Elections website to check your registration status.

If you want to register to vote or update your status, you can do so either online or in person at an early voting site.

A valid Nevada driver's license or ID card is required for same-day registration. If your ID does not contain your current address, you must provide valid proof of residency and may only vote on a provisional ballot. Visit the Clark County Elections Department website for a list of items accepted as proof of residency.

A provisional ballot will be counted once your information has been verified and it has been determined that you have not voted more than once.

DMV offices in Nevada Hours will be extended through Election Day to assist anyone who needs a new ID.

WHATWILL BE ON THE BALLOT THIS YEAR?

There will be 100 contests in Clark County this election, including the election for President and Vice President of the United States.

Because this is a general election, all contests are open to voters regardless of party affiliation.

There are also seven statewide ballot questions, a Boulder City question, a City of Henderson question and a Henderson Library District question.
