Ed Reed made an embarrassing rant during his “ManningCast” appearance

Peyton Manning and Eli Manning were back with another ManningCast for the Baltimore Ravens-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on Monday night, and things took a slightly awkward turn in the final minutes when Ravens star Ed Reed went on an awkward tirade about the NFL's new Guardian helmets.

The league is allowing players to wear protective helmets during games for the first time this year. Reed noticed that the Buccaneers' offensive linemen wore one and wondered how much security they really provide for players.

“Do you really think the protection does anything beyond the carbon fiber on the helmet?” Reed asked as the Manning brothers tried to focus on the game. “When a boxer knocks someone out, he usually beats the crap out of them into the jaw. It only hit him in the top of his head. He is met here. So if someone falls unconscious, their neck will quickly break. It will shock and nerve and make her deaf. It won't just come from the frontal lobe. The reason for this is due to head movement due to lack of muscle strength in the neck. Or the weakness of it that occurs over time.”

Peyton Manning had the equally embarrassing response: “Ed, your Ravens are giving up a few easy touchdowns here. They need a little encouragement from you, buddy.”

Here is that moment:

What constitutes this? ManningCasts The good thing is that you never know what a guest will say or where a conversation will lead. That certainly continued on Monday evening.
