Even Bronny is kind of throwing shade at Darvin Ham this preseason

While there were many interesting quotes and developments to watch in the preseason, one thing was abundantly clear: the Lakers really didn't like Darvin Ham.

A side effect of changing coaching staff while retaining virtually all players is that every quote is analyzed and compared to last season. But perhaps the funniest person lent a little shade to Ham on Friday.

After a shootaround before the season opener, Bronny was asked about his first impressions of new head coach JJ Redick. To his credit, his response seemed genuine without any ill intent, but he delivered the funniest comment yet this preseason.

Man, people. I wonder where Bronny heard that the atmosphere wasn't great last season. Can anyone think of a player on last year's roster that Bronny may have had contact with during the season? Can you think of anyone?

It looks like Bronny accidentally missed a few dinner conversations last year!

He probably shouldn't be too worried, as the Lakers have taken turns throwing shade at Ham this preseason, with most of it coming during media day. In almost every scrum or interview he's done this preseason, D'Angelo Russell has said something that could pretty easily be construed as throwing a bit of shade at Ham, including repeatedly at Media Day.

Even Cam Reddish, who was most likely to benefit from Ham's favoritism, threw shade at him and talked about how detail-oriented the team is this season.

To some extent, fans may be looking for something that isn't in the comments. There were a few times when a quote could be fairly easily explained as a dig at Ham.

Unfortunately for Bronny, this is not the case. There is nothing about his quote that could be described as shadowy. That it came from someone on the team is one thing, but that it came from LeBron's son? Chefs kiss.
