FBI Searches Multimillion-Dollar Mansion in Aventura; 'Court-ordered' raid linked to Los Angeles investigation, officials say – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

AVENTURA, FL. (WSVN) – – A South Florida mansion is the center of an FBI raid that may be related to an investigation on the other side of the country.

Federal agents conducted the raid early Wednesday morning in Aventura, inside the Williams Island guard gates and at the Island Estates gated community.

Police officers were seen outside a home on Island Estates Drive.

Residents woke up when FBI agents ordered everyone in the home to come out with their hands up over a loudspeaker.

“All residents of 3914 Island Estates Drive, this is the FBI. We have a search warrant for this apartment. “All occupants of the apartment exit the front door at this time with their hands raised,” the FBI agent said.

7News obtained cell phone video that shows a bird's eye view of Williams Island and captures the lights of several federal and local police vehicles in front of the residence.

Another video shows police boats in the water near the residence.

On Wednesday, 7News reached out to the FBI. A spokesperson for the agency responded:

“I can confirm that the FBI is in the area of ​​this location conducting court-ordered law enforcement activities related to an investigation by the FBI LA office. LA is tentatively planning a press conference on this issue for Thursday at 10 a.m. PST.”

Aventura police confirmed it was an FBI raid.

As of Wednesday evening, the FBI provided no further details about its investigation or possible subjects.
