Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres sets off another historic bomb at Dodger Stadium

The San Diego Padres narrowly lost their showdown against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday, but that was hardly Fernando Tatis Jr.'s fault.

Tatis walked the first inning, hit a ground-rule double in the third inning and hit a 448-foot solo home run in the fifth. Tatis' bombshell not only tied the game at 3-3 – it also helped the 25-year-old slugger make history.

According to Sarah Langs of MLB.com, it was Tatis' second career home run of at least 445 feet at Dodger Stadium. Shohei Ohtani, Joc Pederson and Yasiel Puig are the only other players to have multiple such home runs at the park since the Statcast era began in 2015, making Tatis the only visiting player on the exclusive list.

In his 33 career games at Dodgers Stadium, Tatis has a .313 batting average with 12 home runs, 23 RBI, seven stolen bases and an OPS of .995.

Langs also noted that Tatis' 12 home runs in 33 games as a guest at Dodger Stadium are the most ever. Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard and Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker had also each hit 12 home runs at that point in their careers.

Tatis finished the night 2-for-3 with a walk, a run and an RBI. He now has a .282 batting average with 21 home runs, 49 RBI, 10 stolen bases, an .851 OPS and a 2.7 WAR this season, still putting up solid numbers despite missing two full months this summer with a hamstring injury.

Since Sept. 10, Tatis has a .333 batting average with seven home runs, 12 RBIs and a 1.172 OPS. The Padres are 10-3 in that stretch, securing a playoff spot.

However, Tatis' other teammates combined for 2 of 26 hits on Wednesday and the Padres ultimately lost 4-3.

San Diego now trails Los Angeles by 3.0 games in the race for the NL West crown with four games remaining. The two division rivals will face off one last time this regular season on Thursday at 10:10 p.m. ET, giving Tatis another chance to do some damage at Dodger Stadium.
