Former Bills WR Stefon Diggs' season is coming to an early end with the Texans

Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs will see his first season with the Houston Texans come to an early end after suffering a serious injury in Week 8.

According to Texans Wire, Houston head coach DeMeco Ryans announced that Diggs suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's 23-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts and will miss the remainder of the season.

The injury was suspected after he went down and left the competition due to a knee injury sustained during non-contact.

The 30-year-old Diggs appeared unlikely to be a part of the Texans' next contest before the end-of-season update given their short week ahead. Houston will face the New York Jets (2-6) in Week 9 on “Thursday Night Football.”

Unfortunately, the Texans are already without No. 1 receiver Nico Collins, who suffered a hamstring injury in Week 5 against the Bills. Collins is expected to return in two weeks.

Diggs spent four seasons in Buffalo from 2020 to 2023 and they were the best seasons of his career.

Amid an apparent behind-the-scenes rift with the team in Buffalo, Diggs was traded to Houston this past offseason.

In addition to the update regarding Diggs because he is a former Bills player… Buffalo and Houston will likely battle for the seeding once the AFC postseason race comes to a close later this season. Losing Diggs will impact that.
