Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler has been arrested and faces multiple charges in Tennessee

According to multiple reports, former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was arrested in Tennessee in the evening hours of October 17th.

According to WGNTV, Cutler was arrested for drunk driving, failure to exercise due care, violating the implied consent law and possession of a handgun under the influence.

Cutler was booked into the Williamson County Jail. He was released later that night after posting $5,000 bail, TMZ reported.

After they began dating in 2013, Cutler married reality star and business owner Kristin Cavallari. They had three children before divorcing in 2022.

A part of their life together was shown on their reality show “Very Cavallari”.

Cutler retired from the NFL in 2017 after playing 12 years for the Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins.

While neither Cutler nor Cavallari often speak publicly about their co-parenting agreement, Cavallari noted a recent change in their custody agreement on her podcast.

On the October 1 episode of the “Let's Be Honest” podcast, Cavallari discussed the end of her recent relationship with TikTok star Mark Estes, as she noted that she is happy to focus on her children and her work following the recent changes in her life could concentrate.

According to Cavallari, in addition to ending her relationship with Estes, her custody agreement with Cutler also changed.

“When I was dating last fall, I still had shared custody with my ex and had every other week off from my kids,” Cavallari explained. However, “that has changed,” she added.

“So I’m really happy and really comfortable with the fact that my life is all about my kids and my work right now.”

Cavallari did not elaborate on her new custody agreement with Cutler.

As of October 18, Cutler has not made a public statement following his arrest.
