Fox News' Bret Baier “ambushes” Kamala Harris, claiming “her staff were beside themselves”; Trump congratulates him

Fox News host Bret Baier shared his experience after a tense interview with Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday, noting that he quickly realized it would be difficult to redirect her without me trying to interrupt her.

This was Harris' first appearance on the right-wing network since running for the Democratic nomination. The interview aired on *Special Report* after being pre-recorded. Baier made sure to tell viewers that the interview was originally scheduled for 5 p.m., but Harris arrived 15 minutes late, which he described as a tactic similar to “freezing the kicker” in football.

“We should start at 5 p.m. This is the time they gave us. Originally it was planned to last 25 or 30 minutes. They came back and said, “Maybe 20.” So it’s already been cut. And then the vice president showed up around 5:15 p.m. We had to put pressure on it to make it work for the 6 p.m. broadcast. That’s how it started,” Baier explained.

Throughout the interview, Baier frequently interrupted Harris, particularly during her discussion of immigration, which set the tone for the rest of the conversation. He compared his interaction with Harris to a previous interview with former President Barack Obama, where he also had difficulty keeping the conversation on track.

“I knew from the beginning that it would be a challenge to redirect them without interfering,” Baier said, recalling that he once told Obama, “Mr. President, I know you like to filibuster.” He expressed frustration at not having more opportunities to ask additional questions.

As the interview neared its end, Baier noticed that members of Harris' team were signaling that the interview was over. “I'm talking like four people waving their hands, indicating that it has to come to an end,” he said, adding that he believed Harris could benefit from participating in more interviews like this in the future. “Maybe she should do more of that,” Baier suggested.

Donald Trump congratulates Bret Baier

After the interview, Donald Trump was one of the first to release his response.

“Great job by Bret Baier in his interview with Lyin' Kamala Harris,” he posted on X.

“She has a massive and incurable case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME – so bad, in fact, that she is barely able to talk about any subject other than the man who had the best economy ever, the strongest border in the world History and who has just arrived.” the UNANIMOUS ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF THE US Border Patrol, I!” continued.

He continued, “She's also the WORST Vice President in history, but hopefully she'll be GONE soon.” Congratulations again to Bret Baier on a tough but very fair interview that clearly showed how completely incompetent Kamala is. For the good of our nation, their inferior cognitive abilities must be put to the test immediately!”
