First warning: Frost tonight – Freeze Wed morning

Highs will only stay in the 50s for the rest of the day, providing a slight cooling effect. Towards the evening the sky will clear and the first significant frost of the season is expected to develop. A frost warning has been issued for Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Low temperatures overnight are expected to fall into the lower 30s, with some rural or low-lying areas seeing temperatures even dip into the upper 20s. If you have delicate plants or vegetation, cover them to protect them from frost and freeze.

Looking forward, winds are forecast to gradually shift to the south, resulting in a more favorable pattern for warming. The closer the weekend gets, the higher the temperatures will get. Highs will reach the 70s again on Friday, which will be a nice change from the cooler weather we've been experiencing. Despite the cool morning, dry conditions will persist for most of the week, resulting in beautiful fall days. However, a slight chance of rain is forecast for Saturday. This rain event doesn't seem particularly significant right now, but it's worth keeping an eye on, especially if you have weekend plans.

Overall, it's a classic fall weather pattern: cooler days followed by cold, frosty nights, but with a warmer trend that has us all looking forward to the end of the week. Remember to take steps to protect your garden or outdoor plants during the advisory period and enjoy the pleasant, sunny days ahead.
