Game day information for Texas Tech vs. Baylor

LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) – Texas Tech returns to Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday when the Red Raiders host Baylor for Homecoming. Fans are advised to wear red for kick-off at 3pm.

Below is a list of game day information fans can expect at Jones AT&T Stadium this Saturday.

SOLD OUT VOLUME EXPECTED FOR THE THIRD TIME THIS SEASON

Texas Tech has sold out of its primary ticket inventory for Saturday's contest as fans still looking for seats should use SeatGeek, the official secondary ticket provider for the athletics department. The only two authorized ticket sources for this game are tickets purchased directly through the Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office and those purchased through our official secondary ticket partner SeatGeek.

Tickets purchased through other sources are not guaranteed to be valid and the Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office is unable to assist fans with counterfeit tickets from an unauthorized source. Please exercise extreme caution when purchasing from any other third-party source and remember: if an offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Fans who require assistance with the authenticity of their tickets on game day may visit a box office at Jones AT&T Stadium. The ticket counters open at 12 p.m. on match day.

“TAP and GO” MOBILE TICKET SYSTEM TO ACCELERATE STADIUM ENTRY | DIGITAL TICKET INFO

Texas Tech introduced a new “Tap and Go” mobile ticketing system this season to provide fans faster access each game day. All football tickets, including the premium areas, will remain 100 percent exclusively mobile, but will not use a QR code for scanning in the future. Instead, fans place their downloaded mobile ticket near ticket scanners that wirelessly identify each mobile ticket. Fans with multiple tickets must swipe horizontally on each ticket and tap it near the scanner to gain entry.

Most importantly, Texas Tech will no longer accept screenshots of mobile tickets to further protect ticket holders from fraud or counterfeit purchases. Fans who need to transfer their tickets can do so online through their TexasTech.com account or through the official Texas Tech mobile app. Step-by-step instructions can be found here via TexasTech+.

TEXAS TECH ADDS THREE NEW GATES FOR STADIUM ENTRY

Texas Tech added three new entry gates to Jones AT&T Stadium this season, located in the new South End Zone Building. Gates 8 and 10 serve all fans on the west or east side of the stadium, while fans with premium seating in the South End Zone Building access via Gate 9. The new South End Zone Building features an expanded concourse, allowing fans easy 360-degree access to the entire stadium.

NATIONAL BROADCAST ON ESPN2 AND THE ESPN APP

Texas Tech fans without tickets can watch the Red Raiders on ESPN2, with Beth Mowins, Rod Gilmore and Lauren Sisler taking in the action live from Jones AT&T Stadium. The game can also be streamed on any smart TV or mobile device via the ESPN app.

PRE-PLAY FLYOVER SET BEFORE STICKING

Texas Tech will conduct a pregame flyover on Saturday immediately after the national anthem (weather permitting) that will include four T-38s from Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls. Saturday's flight crew will be highlighted by two Texas Tech graduates.

TEXAS TECH OFFERS 5,000 KOOZIES AT THE STUDENT GATE

Texas Tech will distribute 5,000 “West Texas Tough” koozies to the first Red Raider students through Gate 6 on Saturday. The student gate opens every game day two hours before kick-off in the southeast corner of the stadium.

THE ARTARIS HEADLINE: RAIDER ALLEY STAGE PERFORMANCE

There's no better place to be on game day than Raider Alley presented by Bud Light. Raider Alley opens four hours before kickoff every Saturday and offers plenty of entertainment for fans of all ages in the heart of the Texas Tech campus. Raider Alley is accompanied by a musical pregame act each week, beginning two hours before kickoff. Once again sponsored by the Davis Smith Law Firm, the Raider Alley Concert Series features exciting performances approximately two hours prior to the start each week during the season. The Ataris take the stage on Saturday at 1 p.m. immediately after the Raider Walk.

WELCOME THE RED RAIDERS DURING THE RAIDER WALK

Fans can greet the Red Raiders on their way to Jones AT&T Stadium every Saturday when the Raider Walk begins approximately two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff. Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders will be dropped off just south of the Sports Performance Center at approximately 12:45 p.m. Saturday and walk north along Drive of Champions Avenue to their gameday locker room in the new South End Zone Building. Fans are encouraged to compete in the Drive of Champions as the Red Raiders are joined by the Saddle Tramps and Texas Tech Spirit programs.

DIGITAL GAME PROGRAM NOW AVAILABLE

SIXTH STREET REOPENS TO PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC

Texas Tech reopened Sixth Street between the South End Zone Building and the Sports Performance Center to pedestrian traffic this season. The area was previously closed due to construction on the South End Zone Building and the Dustin R. Womble Football Center project. Access to areas near the Womble Football Center will remain restricted to pedestrians until the project is completed later this season.

PARKING UPDATE NEAR MERKET ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Fans accustomed to parking on the south side of campus by the Merket Alumni Center, please note that both the parking lot and the R-13 lot will not be available for parking this weekend due to a university event.

LARGE CHICKEN AMONG THE NEW CONCESSION OPTIONS

Texas Tech has expanded its concession options this season to include Big Chicken and two new grab-and-go marketplaces. Big Chicken, the chain founded by Shaquille O'Neal, is located on the southeast side of the new South End Zone concourse, while Touchdown Tavern will serve hot food farther west. The Touchdown Tavern will also feature a grab-and-go marketplace, one of two new self-service locations for Jones AT&T Stadium this season, open to all fans. In addition to the Touchdown Tavern, Texas Tech has constructed a new mezzanine named Matador Marketplace on the west side of the stadium, offering fans four quick grab-and-go options between its original location near Gate 1 and the “Take Three.” Market Square near Gate 4 in the northeast corner of the stadium.

TEXAS TECH partners with STADIUMDROP to simplify the delivery of concessions

Fans can skip vending machine lines this season by using StadiumDrop for in-seat delivery of various food and alcohol options. StadiumDrop is a peer-to-peer in-seat food and beverage ordering and delivery application that allows fans to easily order stadium concessions via the Texas Tech mobile app. StadiumDrop, which is similar to many home food delivery apps, will have employees assisting with seat delivery at every home game.

JONES AT&T STADIUM WILL REMAIN COMPLETELY CASHLESS

Jones AT&T Stadium is a completely cashless venue at all points of sale, including the Texas Tech Ticket Office, all concession stands and at Red Raider Outfitter, Texas Tech Athletics' gameday retailer. All points of sale accept credit and debit cards as well as contactless payment methods.

CITIBUS OPERATES SHUTTLE SERVICE FOR FANS

Citibus offers round-trip transportation from three hours before the game starts to one hour after the game ends for just $6 per person. Pickup is north of the John Walker Soccer Complex (Texas Tech Parkway and 10th Street) and northwest of the Health Sciences Center (ADA only, Texas Tech Parkway and 5th Street). Citibus will also offer a shuttle service for fans from the game day parking lots to Raider Alley as part of its game day transportation this season. The drop off location at the north end of Engineering Key is in addition to the normal Citibus game day route. Citibus only accepts payments via the Go Pass app. Signage and QR codes will be available near each pickup location on game day.

UNOPENED WATER BOTTLES ARE ALLOWED IN ALL SPORTS FACILITIES

As a reminder, fans are permitted to bring one unopened 20-ounce bottle (or less) to any outdoor athletics facility on campus. Please note that frozen water cannot enter the stadium gates. Open bottles other than 20 ounce bottles (or less) are not permitted. Empty beverage containers are permitted at Jones AT&T Stadium and all sports venues.

A clear bag policy continues to apply in all sports facilities

Texas Tech's clear bag policy remains in effect for all athletic venues during the 2024-25 athletic year. Fans may bring a bag or package of the following type and size to the venue:

Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12.

1-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).

Small hand-sized clutch bags with or without handles or straps can be brought into the venue using one of the clear plastic bags.

An exception applies to medically necessary items after proper inspection.

Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are permitted at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Guests bringing medically necessary bags or equipment into a venue must have their bag checked and tagged by security. If you have any questions regarding medical equipment or other needs, please contact the Athletics Operations office at 806-834-7111.

TEXAS TECH RE-ENTRY POLICY

Re-entry to Jones AT&T Stadium will not be permitted throughout the 2024 season. To re-enter the stadium, fans must have a new ticket.
