With wins over the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues and Anaheim Ducks, the Golden Knights travel east to play the Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning and Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers.

The Golden Knights have won each of their first three games in different ways. The season opener was a dominant offensive performance led by Jack Eichel, Ivan Barbashev and Mark Stone. The second game against the Blues was a back-and-forth duel in which the Golden Knights found a way to win and maintain the lead. Last night's game against the Ducks was what HC Bruce Cassidy expects the team to do against a weaker opponent. They gave the Ducks little offense, used the power play and won a clean 3-1 game.

Through three games, Eichel leads the NHL with seven points, closely followed by Stone and Barbashev with six points.

Logan Thompson will be in goal for the Capitals on Tuesday after being dealt in the offseason. This is Thompson's first time playing against the Golden Knights. He will try to prove to the Golden Knights that they made the wrong decision by signing him, so the Golden Knights will have to be prepared for a comprehensive performance from the Capitals' goaltender.

Puck Drop takes place on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. PST at Capital One Arena.
