Halsey transforms into Cher as she promotes her upcoming fifth album, The Great Impersonation

Halsey's The countdown to the release of her highly anticipated fifth album, “The Great Imitator,” continued Thursday with her fourth impersonation.

While promoting her upcoming album, the 30-year-old superstar took a cue from the one and only Cher after she revealed that the music icon's 1974 album, Dark Horses, inspired the fourth song on her new album.

“Day 4 of the countdown to The Great Imitator, October 25th and 'I Never Loved You' is out now,” she wrote, referencing her fourth single release since July 26th.

“THE GREAT IMPERSONATOR: CHER,” she added as part of the announcement that Cher was the inspiration for “TRACK 4: LETTER TO GOD (1974).”

She added: “Undisputed queen.” One of my favorite Cher songs, Dark Lady, was a number one hit in 1974. Even today he is still number 1 in my heart.”

As a tribute to the If I Could Turn Back Time hitmaker, Halsey shared a photo of herself wearing a sky blue jumpsuit with a plunging neckline that fell to her waist.

To perfect her 1970s-inspired look, the actress (born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane) also sourced an exact replica of the silver knee-high boots that came straight from Cher's closet.

Halsey posed with both arms in the air, just like Cher did in her photo shoot 50 years ago.

In each picture, the stars have their eyes closed, their heads leaned back and their long raven locks falling past their waists.

With each drop, the New Jersey native also shares footage showing the work it takes to recreate the looks of each of her muses.

On Monday, Halsey began an 18-day countdown to the album's release.

“Every day from now until the album's release on October 25th, I will impersonate a different icon and perform a snippet of the song they inspired,” she announced.

For the first tribute, which she shared two days earlier, the pop star dressed like country music legend Dolly Parton while also proclaiming that she was the inspiration for “TRACK9: HOMETOWN.”

In the photo, she imitated singer-songwriter Joline from her cover of the album Rainbow (1987), where she is dressed in a plunging black and silver dress with her long blonde locks cascading around her.

Halsey's look for the photo she shared is an almost spot-on replica of Parton's.

On the second day of the countdown to the release of The Great Imitator, which took place on Tuesday, October 8, she showed off how she imitated PJ Harvey.

In the photo, Halsey is wearing the American flag bikini top and blue eyeshadow from Harvey's 1995 album cover “Blue Girl.”

On the next slide is the actual photo of PJ, and it's pretty spot on too.

On the third day there was a tribute to British singer-songwriter Kate Bush.

“THE GREAT IMPERSONATOR #3: KATE BUSH,” she wrote in all caps, along with messages about “TRACK 10: I NEVER LOVED YOU.”

“This song goes deep. And it's coming out tomorrow, October 10th at 9 a.m. PST / 12 p.m. EST,” the Edison, New Jersey native revealed on Wednesday.

Alongside the message, Halsey also shared a photo from the album collection that shows her with her wild, teased hair surrounded by blue fabric, which almost perfectly matches an old photo of Bush from back in the day.

The promotional push for The Great Imitator began with the release of the first single, “Lucky,” on July 26th.

This was followed by her next singles “Lonely Is The Muse” on August 15th, “Ego” on September 6th and “I Never Loved You” earlier this month.

The album is described as “an exploration of the authenticity of Halsey's personality and experiences and how well they correspond to contexts from the 1970s to today.”
