Has a twist been revealed? What did you think? (Opinion poll)

ABC's latest procedural has officially set sail Doctor Odyssey premiered its first, staged episode on Thursday evening (September 26).

The series has been a bit of a mystery so far; The trailers even led some TV fans to suspect that there was more to the story than just a regular medical drama, but the premiere has put at least some of that speculation to rest.

Doctor Odyssey The focus is Dr. Max Bankman (Joshua Jackson), an internal medicine doctor who decides to join the crew of a luxury cruise ship after almost dying from COVID-19. He is brought on board by Captain Massey (Don Johnson), who hires him to protect the passengers And the dream of the idyllic life that his ship offers them. Max's medical team also includes nurse Avery (Phillipa Soo) and nurse Tristan (Sean Teale), who use their skills to help a patient who has, let's say, broken a major limb in his body.

The sunshine and seascape surrounding the Odyssey is picture-perfect, and it looks like there will be plenty of waves between these crew members as the series progresses.

Next week's episode Doctor Odyssey is called “Singles Week” and follows Max, Tristan and Avery as they navigate their relationship and fend off advances from passengers… and some fast-spreading illnesses. The third week episode is then called “Plastic Surgery Week” and shows the Odyssey filling up with new faces and fresh features that the medical team must tend to, including the arrival of the ship's owner's wife, who must charm and delight Captain Massey , without accepting any romantic advances from her.
