Soulja Boy wowed audiences at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards. The event took place on October 8th in Las Vegas, Nevada and aired on October 15th, bringing together many of hip-hop's biggest names.

The 18th annual awards ceremony hosted by Fat Joesaw him bring Soulja Boy onto the stage where the crowd erupted as he took them back in time with some of his biggest hits. Opening with his 2007 debut single “Crank That (Soulja Boy),” the Atlanta rapper was joined by dancers who replicated the iconic moves that once had a stranglehold on the internet.

He then kept the energy high as he segued into his 2008 track “Turn My Swag On” and had the audience singing along. The performance ended with a surprise appearance by Roscoe Dash to perform her 2010 hit “All The Way Turnt Up,” Roscoe’s debut single, giving fans an unforgettable moment.

Soulja Boy recently made headlines after claiming he was the first rapper to fly a plane, posting a video on Instagram over the weekend. In the clip, the “Kiss Me Through The Phone” hitmaker is seen in the cockpit next to a pilot and says, “It's your boy, Soulja Boy.” You know what's going on. I was the first rapper to fly a plane. Let's go. We're about to take to the air. Are you ready for this? Let's do it.”

The post caught the attention of Ludacriswho already made headlines in 2021 for flying a plane. In response to Soulja Boy's claim, Luda left a confused emoji in the comments, suggesting doubt. After watching Luda's video, Soulja Boy admitted, “I just saw your video. You did it first.”
