How to Watch, Predictions for “SNF”

play

The Cowboys and Steelers spark a rivalry of sorts in Week 5 on Sunday Night Football.

Although the two teams have met only 30 times in their combined history, both are at the top of the list of the NFL's winningest franchises. In addition, they are neck-and-neck when it comes to the Lombardi Trophies: Pittsburgh has six Super Bowl victories, the Cowboys five.

However, heading into Sunday night, no one will consider either team a Super Bowl contender at this point in the season. The Cowboys had one of the worst defensive units in the NFL entering the game and will face a Steelers team that has struggled to move the ball on offense despite Justin Fields' somewhat surprising start.

However, there is still plenty of time for a change of course, although it could be an uphill battle. The Cowboys will be without Micah Parsons, who is dealing with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, the clouding of status surrounding Russell Wilson is creating something of a QB controversy whenever the passer can return.

It's a Sunday night matchup full of storylines for two of the NFL's most storied franchises. USA TODAY Sports will provide live updates, highlights and more for the “SNF” Week 5 matchup below:

  • Start time: 8:20 p.m. ET (7:20 p.m. CT)
