In the erotic thriller, 57-year-old Nicole strips naked and longs to be dominated in the bedroom by the almost stranger.

In the film, released here Jan. 10, new employee Samuel Nicole's character, the workaholic CEO Romy, explains that the first rule is: “I tell you what to do and you do it.”

These commands include Romy getting on her hands and knees to sip milk from a saucer and stuffing Samuel's tie into her mouth.

In a revealing new interview, Nicole says it was often too much to act out the scenes with young British actor Harris Dickinson, who plays the intern, and Antonio Banderas as her husband Jacob.

She says: “There was a huge amount of sharing and trust and then frustration.

“It's like, 'Don't touch me'.”

“There were moments during filming where I thought, 'I don't want to have an orgasm anymore.'

“Don’t come too close to me. I hate doing this.

“I don’t care if I’m never touched again in my life!”

“I'm over it. It was so present for me the whole time that it was almost like burnout.”

Nicole Kidman shares her teenage daughter Sunday's surprising reaction to the star getting “stoned” in the film Eyes Wide Shut

It's far more raunchy than her recent starring role in the hit Netflix drama “The Perfect Couple,” which featured a scene in which husband Liev Schreiber makes love to her outside a window in their crowded family vacation home.

Nicole, the mother of four, has previously pushed the boundaries when choosing roles, appearing in an orgy scene in the 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut with her then-husband Tom Cruise and teaming up with Colin Farrell in Killing Of A Sacred Deer” engaged in a disturbing bedroom game in 2017.

But “Babygirl” is considered her raunchiest performance yet.

At a recent press conference in Los Angeles, Harris, 28, from East London, said he needed a break from the intense role.

The actor, who starred in the third Kingsman film, The King's Man, and the acclaimed satire Triangle Of Sadness, told the crew and his co-stars: “Okay, everyone – step away for a second.” , when “we didn’t feel well.” “.

There is already Oscar hype for Nicole's highly explosive portrayal of Romy.

One moment she's giving orders to her employees at a robotics company, the next she's in Samuel's hands.

The thriller was written and directed by Halina Reijn, who also brought us the 2022 black horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies starring Pete Davidson and Amandla Stenberg.

Nicole had wanted to work with the Dutch director for years, and when Halina came to her with Babygirl, she was immediately interested.

Nicole remembers: “I read the script and thought it was so funny.

Fast-paced moments

“But it also turned me on. I was kind of hypnotized too.”

Halina was inspired by the 1992 thriller Basic Instinct by Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas and the story of a woman who had never experienced sexual pleasure during her 25-year marriage.

Nicole met Harris in New York before filming began last December.

She recalls, “A lot of it was just about ourselves, which is a really great way for actors to come together because you share things.”

When they began filming, the director played most of the roles for her cast.

Nicole continues: “She threw herself around the room in the rehearsal room and played all the roles – I had never experienced that before.”

The cast needed an intimacy coordinator for the sex scenes, which included the couple meeting during a nighttime swim.

But Nicole made sure they weren't “restricted” by the coordinator telling them what to do and what not to do.

She explains: “I still firmly believe that the set or the actors' space is sacred and will never be violated.

“Because it’s ours, it’s the bubble, and then there’s the world outside.”

The Hollywood beauty has chosen to work with female directors as this part of the industry is still dominated by men.

And Nicole doesn't think she could have pulled off the fast-paced moments as well if there had been a man behind the camera giving orders, like the late Stanley Kubrick did in “Eyes Wide Shut.”

This was because she was able to talk to Halina about her “secret desires.”

She says: “I don’t think I would have been able to work with a man.

“I actually think I was only able to do that with her because we were both sitting there talking.

“We've talked about so many things and still do, it's so mysterious and vulnerable – but it's safe.”

Nicole made her film debut at the age of 16 in the Australian holiday drama Bush Christmas in 1983 and has spoken in the past about how she has had “#MeToo moments – since I was little”.

But she believed that thanks to her marriage to Cruise, she was protected from the sexual harassment that many actresses faced.

The couple married in 1990 and had two children, Isabella, 31, and 29-year-old Connor.

When Nicole and the Top Gun star divorced in 2001, she was a major force in the industry herself.

Five Oscar nominations, including a win for “The Hours” in 2003, show that directors are eager to work with her.

Nicole's influence also means she can choose whether or not to wear revealing clothing in a film.

And she can choose to play a role where she has to get on all fours and do whatever a man tells her in a BDSM relationship, like Babygirl.

Nicole says: “When I was in Halina's hands, I knew she wouldn't exploit me.

“I didn’t feel exploited.

“I felt part of it.

“It's the story I wanted to be a part of, the story I wanted to tell, and every part of me was committed to that story.

“We all took great care.

“We were all very, very gentle with each other and helped each other – Harris, Antonio.”

But the best part of “Babygirl” for Nicole was going to the clubs for a scene.

She says: “My favorite day was the rave because I got to go to a rave.

“We played loud music and I could just let off steam.

“And at that point in the film when we were making it, it was just so needed – that feeling of complete liberation.”

The in-demand star has many projects coming up, including playing the fictional title character of the forensic pathologist in the TV series Kay Scarpetta and in an Amazon Prime thriller titled Holland, Michigan.

Unfortunately, when you have a family at home and so on, you have to make some sort of agreement about where you're going: “I'm going to go into this now and ask permission to let me go.”

But she has to choose her roles carefully because that means she has to be away from husband Keith Urban and their daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith, 13.

The family lives on a ranch in Memphis, Tennessee, and Nicole always has to reach an agreement with husband Keith before committing to major work projects.

Award-winning country star Keith also has to find time to perform and record his music.

Nicole says: “Unfortunately, when you have family at home and so on, you have to make some sort of agreement about where you're going: 'I'm going to go ahead and ask for your permission to let me.' go'.

“And I have teenage children who get it and a husband who is also an artist.

“So you are released into your artistic life and then you return home and into your real life.

“But some kind of letting go is required.”
