Insiders claim Ben Affleck fell into a “very toxic pattern of behavior” during his divorce from Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck is apparently going through a lot of changes after he and Jennifer Lopez officially announced their divorce. He's had several hair transformations, bought a new house, is reportedly going to the gym more, and now friends are reportedly worried about his latest habit: being a “love addict.”

Insiders recently told InTouch Weekly that Affleck's friends are worried about him because he seems to be heading down a destructive path and just acting instead of thinking about the repercussions.

“Ben has a very addictive personality and many people think that now that he is sober he has switched his vices and become a love addict,” the source told the medium. “It obviously gives him some excitement to be back and forth with J.Lo, even if he has no plans to go further than having a little fun.”

They added that he seems “self-destructive,” saying, “For one, he's messing with J. Lo's head, which isn't nice.” And it also sends mixed messages to the kids, which isn't healthy. It just puts everyone back on this horrible rollercoaster ride. It really seems like he's falling into a very toxic pattern, in the long run it's not going to be good for anyone.”

For those who don't know, Lopez and Affleck met on the set of the film Gigli. Soon after, they started dating and got engaged at the end of 2002.

In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then separated days before due to the paparazzi and pressure they faced and separated in 2004.

Then, in 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony. Then, after months of speculation, Lopez filed for divorce on August 20, according to TMZ, stating that the date of separation was April 26, 2024.
