Iowa Hawkeyes star RB launches for a dynamic 75-yard TD

The Iowa Hawkeyes had problems in today's road game against the Michigan State Spartans. For most of the game, Michigan State completely contained star running back Kaleb Johnson.

But in the fourth quarter, with 7:22 minutes left to play, Johnson finally scored.

He took a handoff 75 yards for a touchdown to bring Iowa back to within 25-20. There's still a lot of work to be done to win tonight's game, but this play helped the Hawkeyes get back on track.

Take a look at the Heisman Trophy candidate's amazing touchdown run for yourself:

After that run, Johnson carried the football 14 times for 98 yards and a touchdown. You can do the math to see how tough the game was for Johnson leading up to the touchdown run.

A loss to the Spartans would be a tough blow for the Hawkeyes. After last week's dominant win, they have received some hype as a team that could compete for a spot in the Big Ten Championship.

Obviously, the loss to Michigan State would put the nail in the coffin.

Hopefully the team can finish strong and find a way to get a close win. Johnson needs to continue to run well and Cade McNamara needs to figure out how to throw a football to make that happen.

Other than that, tonight's game was an absolute disappointment. But Johnson has brought some life to the team and there is hope it will be the spark Iowa needed.
