Is CeeDee Lamb playing today? Latest updates for Cowboys WR

The Dallas Cowboys' play on the interior defensive line in Week 2 was an affront to the sport of football. To make matters worse, the group is in disarray heading into Sunday's game against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. If the Cowboys can't stop the run again, it may be beyond the power of Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb to come to the rescue.

However, Lamb gave Dallas fans a shock on Wednesday when he was listed as DNP in practice. Trevon Diggs also missed practice with an apparent foot injury. With Jake Ferguson and Mazi Smith also in top form, fans had to fear the worst on Sunday.

These fears lasted a full 24 hours. He told reporters he just felt sore and would train again on Thursday. Lamb was completely removed from the injury report on Friday and will therefore play against the Ravens.

That's not the only good news Cowboys fans received. In addition to Lamb, Diggs and Ferguson are also available. Smith was limited on Friday but is also expected to play after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday because of back armor.

Lamb's stats suggest he hasn't scored any goals this season, but that's far from the case. He has nine catches for 151 yards and a touchdown. Cowboys fans are used to this being a weekly stat line from No. 88, but essentially he's in training camp right now.

Prescott's lack of practice reps was obvious. The duo would have scored a touchdown against the Saints, but a miscommunication caused the pass to fall incomplete. Lamb took the blame for the misfire, saying he missed an adjustment and that those were things that would normally be ironed out in training camp.

If only Jerry and Stephen Jones could have prevented this! While it's always to their benefit that they finally signed their superstars, waiting until after preseason to sign Lamb is detrimental to the team. It stands to reason that if Lamb had been signed at the start of camp, Lamb and Prescott would be completely on the same page, not 90%.

Their chemistry will only improve with time, and that can only mean good things for the Cowboys' offense, as Lamb has posted a 23% target share through two games and will face the 26th-ranked Ravens in second place. If there's a path to a Dallas win on Sunday, feeding Lamb is the way to do it.
