Jalen Hurts finds AJ Brown for a 41-yard TD on fourth down

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Saquon Barkley refused to be turned away.

Playing in his first game at MetLife Stadium since joining the rival Philadelphia Eagles, Barkley scored from three yards out midway through the second quarter to give his new team a 7-0 win over the New York Giants.

Barkley's momentum on the inside was initially stopped, but he kept his legs moving and teammates helped push him into the end zone for his fifth rushing TD of the season.

Barkley set up the score with a 55-yard run down the left side – his longest run at MetLife since a 68-yard touchdown on Dec. 29, 2019 against the Eagles.

When Barkley and the offense first took the field, the crowd whistled heavily, letting Barkley hear it every time he touched the ball.

However, that didn't stop Barkley from making the impression that Giants fans have come to expect during his six years in New York.

The connection between Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown is coming to a head.

After sealing the win against the Cleveland Browns with a late completion from deep in Week 5, Hurts got back in the hole on fourth down against the Giants, leading to a 41-yard second-quarter touchdown that beat the Eagles took a 14-0 lead.

When faced with a four-and-3, Hurts stood with pressure on him in the pocket and fired a dart down the left sideline for Brown, who caught it brilliantly before racing into the end zone.

Brown has missed three games this season with a hamstring injury. In the two games he played on Sunday, he passed for more than 100 yards and scored a touchdown.
