Joaquin Buckley thrills “Wonderboy” with comeback knockout at UFC 307

Joaquin Buckley stunned UFC fans with a devastating comeback knockout against fan-favorite fighter Stephen Thompson at UFC 307.

Buckley struggled with Thompson's karate striking in the first two rounds, unable to execute his grappling and narrowly surviving some powerful headbutts. That would change in the third round when a resurgent Buckley caught Thompson against the fence with a Tyson-esque right hook that completely broke the UFC veteran.

“New Mansa” showed great sportsmanship by throwing his punches after the knockout. With the win, Buckley becomes the second man to defeat Thompson by knockout. It is still unclear whether this was Thompson's last professional appearance.

In his post-fight interview, Buckley called out former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman for a fight. Now that he's 5-0 at welterweight, it's hard to beat Buckley.
