John Summit just teased a new track in the works

Is this the spiritual successor to “Shiver”?

John Summit doesn't hold back. One of the most influential EDM acts of the last 20 months turned to social media tease a special song he's working on. He took to Twitter to comment: “I'm currently writing what I think will be next year's anthem“, alongside a short video teasing said song. Check it out below.

The song, currently under the placeholder name 'ritualAs can be seen from the video, it features an infectious atmosphere with a somewhat Reese-esque bass line and a warm female voice that seems to fit Summit's tastes perfectly. If we've seen a pattern in his productions lately, it's how much his recent work is focused on a vocal upper voice, as opposed to, say, his earlier Repopulate Mars stuff. And this one definitely delivers.

The track seems to be in the style of very melodic and sing-along-worthy tech house that he has been pioneering for some time. After the rousing success of tracks like “Where You Are” and “Shiver,” it's only fair for the Forbes 30 Under 30 to write another chapter in its story with a formula that promises success.

We still have to see where this new demo goes and when – possibly and when – he's going to premiere it, but for now we can just wait…impatiently.
