Kamala Harris dodges Colbert's question about what “big changes” she would bring compared to the Biden presidency

Vice President Kamala Harris, in an interview Tuesday night, stopped short of saying what “big changes” her administration would bring compared to the Biden administration, of which she is currently a member.

Harris sat down for a friendly interview with “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert, who pointed to polls that show voters want the 2024 election to be about change.

“You're a member of the current administration, but under a Harris administration, what would be the key changes and what would stay the same?” Colbert asked.

“Sure, I’m obviously not Joe Biden,” Harris replied.

“I noticed,” Colbert joked.

“So that would be a change in terms of — but I also think it's important to say with 28 days to go that I'm not Donald Trump,” Harris said, drawing cheers from the liberal audience.

“So when we think about what this next generation of leadership would mean, if I were elected president, it's about – frankly, I love the American people and I believe in our country. I love it.” Our character and our nature is to be an ambitious people, we have dreams, we have an incredible work ethic and I just believe that we can continue the success that we have achieved to create opportunities and “In this way, strengthening the strength of our nation,” Harris continued, before touting her pitch on “opportunity economics” and talking about her mother, a small business owner.

Earlier in the day, Harris was also asked during her media campaign on “The View” if she would have done anything differently than the Biden presidency.

“I can’t think of anything,” Harris replied, adding, “I was involved in most of the decisions that had an impact.”

Critics slammed the Democratic nominee's comments, insisting they would immediately be used in a Trump ad to link her to Biden, who was ousted as the nominee in July by concerned Democrats. Biden dropped out of the race under pressure and Harris quickly replaced him.
