Lakers Injury Report: Austin Reaves exits vs. Bucks with ankle soreness

It was a mix of good and bad news for the Lakers heading into Thursday's preseason game against the Bucks. While LeBron James and Anthony Davis will play in Milwaukee, Austin Reaves will not play.

Before the game, JJ Redick announced that Reaves, who played all 83 regular-season games including the in-season tournament finale last season, would be out with ankle soreness.

To say the least, preseason injury reports should be treated with great caution. Reaves played and looked good in the team's first two preseason games, and did not suffer a significant injury in either. There's not much to worry about at the moment.

Redick didn't announce a starter before the game, but it would likely be Max Christie, who started in place of LeBron in the team's first preseason game. However, as mentioned in the tweet, Christie is also subject to a minute limit.

Maybe that flight from Milwaukee was really treacherous.

This would also potentially open up minutes for players like Dalton Knecht and Jalen Hood-Schifino to play in the regular rotation. Neither has seen extended minutes alongside LeBron and Anthony Davis this preseason.

Cam Reddish saw his first preseason action of any kind on Sunday, although it was only a brief cameo. Jordan Goodwin was also missing at the start of training due to an injury.

The Lakers have plenty of time between Thursday and their next game on Tuesday before finishing with three games in four nights (okay, but why are the Lakers doing this to themselves with this preseason schedule)?
