Laura Loomer receives complaint from ABC whistleblower alleging the network colluded with Harris for the September 10 debate

Far-right activist Laura Loomer recently made headlines with her racist claims that the “White House will smell like curry…” if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the upcoming presidential election. The conspiracy theorist, who also has ties to former president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, is back on the Harris hate train with her latest social media post.

On Friday, September 20, Loomer drew attention to a “breaking exclusive” on her X/Twitter account, stating that she was privy to the official complaint from the “ABC whistleblower” who claims that the US news channel, which is owned by parent company Disney, colluded with the Democratic presidential candidate during the September 10 presidential debate. Shortly after Harris' first debate with Trump, the anonymous source claimed that ABC had provided the now vice president with the questions reserved for the event in advance.

Laura Loomer publishes the official complaint from the “ABC whistleblower” that she shared exclusively with her

Loomer tweeted on X yesterday: “The ABC whistleblower who alleged ABC News gave @KamalaHarris the questions ahead of the presidential debate has exclusively given me a copy of the official complaint they filed with the SEC today.”

The official documents (along with alleged evidence), successfully filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on September 20, 2024, “confirm receipt of two complaints against Disney, the owner of ABC News.” The complaint also states “that ABC News and its parent company Disney colluded with Kamala Harris' presidential campaign to influence the 9/10/24 presidential debate and further influence the outcome of the 2024 presidential election,” Loomer claimed.

In addition, the right-wing activist not only tagged Disney, ABC, Harris and Team Trump in her post, but also mentioned the names of the debate's allegedly “biased” moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis.

What does the complaint say?

Loomer uploaded the documents she had access to and quoted directly from the whistleblower's complaint filed with the SEC.

“I want to explicitly state that I am not a supporter of Donald Trump and have never voted for Donald Trump. The context of the conversations and other observations is that ABC News is working with the Kamala Harris campaign and that Disney may seek financial or other future consideration for helping to elect Kamala Harris.

“I have sat idly by for years and watched the media on both sides of the political spectrum become nothing more than campaign advertising for politicians. It is clear that several considerations are being exchanged in this current presidential campaign.

“I have attached additional evidence for your review. Please note that this evidence contains personal information about me and I wish to keep it secret for the safety of my family.”

In addition, Loomer called on ABC News and Disney to issue a statement “immediately” in light of the mounting allegations surrounding the September 10 presidential debate between Harris and Trump.

What do we know about the ABC whistleblower?

These brazen accusations against the news channel and Harris first appeared on the X-profile of user @DocNetyoutube. Although the administrator of that page, which provided a platform for the alleged whistleblower to air his claims, describes himself as a MAGA supporter, the person who filed the high-profile complaint is not a Trump supporter, as highlighted in the official documents. The opening pages of the previously outed affidavit apparently noted that the anonymous whistleblower “worked for ABC News in various technical and administrative positions for over 10 years.”

User @DocNetyoutube also reposted the “receipts” that Loomer shared on her account. In addition, she also highlighted ties between Disney and the Democratic Party in another tweet. The X-user attached screenshots of The Wrap's July report titled “Disney heiress Abigail Disney 'wholeheartedly' resumes Democratic donations to Kamala Harris,” and claimed, “For context, Abigail Disney was a key driver in getting Joe Biden removed from the ballot and replaced by Kamala Harris.”

The Disney heiress had previously withheld her donations to the political party and called on Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race. The granddaughter of Walt Disney co-founder Roy O. Disney said in a statement to CNBC: “I intend to stop all donations to the party unless and until they replace Biden at the top of the ballot.”

She added: “If Biden does not resign, the Democrats will lose. I am absolutely certain of that… The consequences of this defeat will be truly devastating.”

Following Biden's endorsement of Harris, Abigail Disney told Kenneth Vogel of the New York Times that she supported the vice president “wholeheartedly.”

MAGA approvingly emphasized the alleged credibility of the whistleblower’s statements

While Republicans fired back even harder, claiming the Sept. 10 debate was “rigged,” the network ultimately confirmed the allegations it had already made in the “whistleblower affidavit” released days before Loomer released the official complaint documents on Friday. To clarify, ABC issued the following statement: “ABC News has followed the debate rules agreed to by both campaigns, which clearly state: No topics or questions will be given to campaigns or candidates in advance.”

The affidavit went viral and widely shared on social media by MAGA fans, including Elon Musk, Bill Ackman and other well-known Republicans.

Republican Rep. Dan Meuser of Pennsylvania also cited the affidavit containing the shocking allegations in an interview with Fox News and said Republicans could subpoena ABC officials to testify.
