Liam Payne, former One Direction singer, has died aged 31 after a hotel collapse

Former One Direction singer Liam Payne has died in Argentina, according to local authorities.

Police told the BBC and Associated Press in statements that they responded to an emergency call at the Casa Sur Hotel in Palermo, Buenos Aires, about “an aggressive man who may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol.” has”.
