LSU prepares for home game at Tiger Stadium

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The LSU Tigers prepare to take on Ole Miss in a home game on Saturday, October 12th.

The game is expected to kick off at 6:44 p.m

On Saturday night, LSU in Death Valley will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Tiger Stadium in addition to homecoming festivities.

Fans and coaches are ready for an exciting evening of football.

“What excites me and our players is an SEC game at Tiger Stadium,” said head coach Brian Kelly. “The energy, the excitement – not that the other games weren't exciting – but this is different. This all reaches a new level.”

Below are some key times fans should keep an eye on:

  • 4:17 p.m. – LSU heads down Victory Hill
  • 4:30 p.m. – All gates to Tiger Stadium open
  • 6:40 p.m. – LSU takes the field
  • 6:44 p.m. – Kick-off at Tiger Stadium
  • Halftime: The LSU band performs along with the homecoming court presentation.

Baton Rouge Police are also reminding fans and people who live near the LSU campus about two-way traffic before and after the game. Below is a map of Contraflow's post-game plans:

Tiger Stadium and all other LSU Athletics facilities continue to have clear bag guidelines. Therefore, fans are only permitted to bring 12″ x 6″ x 12″ clear tote bags, clear plastic bags no larger than one gallon, and small clutch purses into the facilities. Items such as noisemakers, umbrellas, and outdoor food and drinks are prohibited.
