Mike Tyson shows menacing training program ahead of Jake Paul Fight

We are just over a month away from the big fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul taking place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. But even after the game was postponed from its original date in July because the legendary boxer had a stomach ulcer, he appears to be looking as mean as ever in a new training video.

Tyson, 58, posted a video of his training session in the ring on Instagram late Thursday evening. In the short clip, he can be seen putting on his gloves before throwing the lightning-fast punches he has become known for throughout his nearly 30-year career.

“Final spurt. Less than 50 days left,” he captioned the video, which should be enough to make 27-year-old Paul shake in his boots.

Tyson was transparent about his training program in the months leading up to the fight. In particular, he has spoken about his decision to give up sex and marijuana – as he is an outspoken advocate who boasts of his own line of cannabis products – so he can better focus on the fight. (However, he admits that he has incorporated psilocybin mushrooms into his routine.)

“I train extremely hard. I start at 11 a.m. and maybe leave the gym at 5 p.m.,” he said during a Sept. 23 appearance Jimmy Kimmel Live!noting that he takes a “little break” during the day and varies his workout over the course of the six hours. “After I finish boxing, I get a massage for an hour and then I go straight into strength and conditioning training.”

Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson will stream live on Netflix on November 15, 2024.
