This story will be updated as necessary.

Missouri football quarterback Brady Cook returned to Mizzou's game against Auburn late in the third quarter after spending time in the locker room and on the sidelines because of a leg injury he suffered on the game's first drive.

Cook warmed up on the sideline at the start of the quarter. Backup MU QB Drew Pyne just completed a third quarter drive that ended in a field goal.

Cook threw balls down the MU sideline after emerging from the south end zone tunnel with his helmet on.

According to a team spokesman, Cook was deemed “unlikely to return” at halftime.

Drew Pyne led the offense on every Missouri drive in the second quarter and looks like he will close out the game for Mizzou. Running back Nate Noel also likely won't return for Missouri, according to a team spokesman.

Tiger Radio Network's Chris Gervino reported from the sidelines at Faurot Field that Cook, Missouri's starting football quarterback, had his ankle retaped and will attempt to return to the game. Cook didn't leave the locker room again at the start of the second quarter.

Cook left the Tigers' game against Auburn with an injury on the first drive of the first quarter. He left the sideline with an apparent leg injury while Mizzou was in field goal territory.

Cook immediately went to the dressing room and was replaced by substitute Drew Pyne.

Missouri scored a field goal on its first drive and played just one play without Cook.

Later in the first quarter, tight end Brett Norfleet left the game holding his shoulder. The second-year tight end also left the locker room and did not return to the sideline. He came back into the game in the first half.
