Nations League: Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo extends record result in Poland | Nations League

Cristiano Ronaldo was among the goalscorers Portugal hit Poland 3-1 in the Nations League duel in Warsaw. The 39-year-old gave the visitors a two-goal lead in the 37th minute, converting after Rafael Leão burst forward and shot against the post, taking his record tally of international goals to 133.

Ronaldo had earlier hit a shot against the crossbar before Bernardo Silva put Portugal ahead with a finish in the 26th minute. After Piotr Zielinski scored the goal for Poland in the 78th minute, a late own goal from Jan Bednarek gave the Portuguese their third goal.

Roberto Martínez's men extend their 100 percent start in Group A1 to three wins as Poland remain third with three points, three behind Croatia.

Northern Ireland couldn't find a way past Belarus, In Nations League Group C3 there was only a goalless draw. The match was played in Zalaegerszeg in western Hungary, as Belarus was involved in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Liverpool's Conor Bradley was captaining the team for the first time and thought he had given them the lead after ten minutes, but an offside flag intervened.

Fedor Lapoukhov then worked wonders in the Belarus goal, denying Jamie Reid twice and also keeping away attempts from Callum Marshall and Jamal Lewis. As Northern Ireland found a way past him, Eoin Toal's glancing header hit the post.

Reid almost broke the deadlock in the second half but Northern Ireland had to settle for a point and sit third in the table before hosting Bulgaria at Windsor Park on Tuesday.
