The Farmers' Almanac is warning everyone in New York to prepare for a winter full of “rapid-fire storms.” Some storms produce snow, others rain with “minor downtime.”

An “active storm track” is expected to produce “frequent heavy rainfall” and strong winds, officials say.

“We particularly want to highlight the periods of January 20-23 and 24-27, which could mean large amounts of snow, rain, sleet and ice (depending on where you live),” the Farmers' Almanac says .
