Here's what happened in our simulation:

First quarter

After the Las Vegas Raiders punted on their first drive, the Kansas City Chiefs marched down the field. Patrick Mahomes broke off a 29-yard run to bring the Chiefs inside the Raiders' 10-yard line. A few plays later, Kareem Hunt ran into the end zone for the game's first touchdown.

End of first quarter: Chiefs 7, Raiders 0

Second quarter

A promising drive for the Chiefs witnessed DeAndre Hopkins' first reception as a Chief and a 30-yard pass play to Travis Kelce. However, the drive ended when Mahomes threw a pass into the end zone, but Raiders safety Trevon Moehrig was able to use the pass for his own interception.

The Raiders responded with a 48-yard field goal from Daniel Carlson.

End of second quarter: Chiefs 7, Raiders 3

Third quarter

Mahomes kept the defense guessing by spreading the ball around, with Justin Watson, Kelce, Hopkins and Hunt all making catches during the drive. However, the offense stalled inside the Raiders' 10-yard line, resulting in just three points on a short field goal by Harrison Butker.

End of third quarter: Chiefs 10, Raiders 3

Fourth quarter

Hunt scored again and reached the end zone for the second time in the game on a drive that, while not eye-catching, was crucial for the Chiefs to run out the clock while putting points on the board.

On their side of the field, the Raiders' offense appears competent – but once they cross midfield, the Chiefs' defense turns up the intensity.

Chamarri Conner sealed the game for the Chiefs by intercepting Gardner Minshew for a pick-six.

Final score: Chiefs 24, Raiders 3
