NFL star Josh Reynolds shot in the head after leaving the strip club outside Denver

Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds, 29, and other victims were injured in a shooting in the Denver area last week.

Josh Reynolds, an American football wide receiver for the NFL's Denver Broncos, was reportedly shot twice after leaving a Denver-area strip club last week. The unprecedented shooting left him with injuries to the back of his head and left arm.

Additionally, two other men were injured in the shooting at Shotgun Willie's in suburban Denver. One was shot in the back and another was injured by broken glass.

NFL's Josh Reynolds and two other victims were stalked after visiting a strip club in Denver

The 29-year-old professional soccer player and the two men accompanying him are said to have been followed as they left the strip club. They were reportedly shot at while driving a blue Ford Bronco. According to local news agency 9News, police received several emergency calls last Friday morning.

The official investigation led to the discovery of “numerous bullet holes on the rear driver’s side and front windshield” of the vehicle.

Court documents revealed Reynolds and the other victims' accounts of the incident as they detailed that there was no disturbance at the strip club. However, several vehicles began chasing them after they left the restaurant and headed onto the highway.

Suspects arrested in connection with Josh Reynolds shooting

Two suspects, Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza, were arrested Wednesday in connection with the shooting, according to Denver police. Surveillance video showed Mendoza's vehicle directly behind Reynolds and the other victims. Meanwhile, Charlesworth allegedly told officers he was helping a friend who had asked him to follow the victims because they had previously been entangled.

The Broncos released a statement when Reynolds missed last Thursday's game against the Saints after being placed on the injured reserve (IR) list due to a finger injury. “Josh Reynolds was the victim of a shooting in Denver on Friday and was treated for minor injuries,” the statement said. “Out of respect for the legal process, we will leave further comment on this matter to the authorities.”
