Nick Bosa MAGA hat explained: 49ers star causes awkward moment after crash “SNF” postgame interview

The 49ers got a big win against the Cowboys on Sunday, but it led to an awkward moment during the postgame interview.

Pass rusher Nick Bosa was not selected as one of NBC's players of the game, but he briefly joined Brock Purdy, George Kittle and Isaac Guerendo as they spoke with sideline reporter Melissa Stark on the field after the game.

Here's what happened during Bosa's brief moment on camera.

Nick Bosa MAGA hat video during post-game interview

NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark interviewed the game's stars, as she does every week, tonight Brock Purdy, George Kittle and Isaac Guerendo. Midway through Purdy's portion of the interview, Nick Bosa came up behind Stark, donned a “Make America Great Again” hat and pointed.

Stark and the three other 49ers stopped to acknowledge Bosa, smiling and laughing slightly. Visibly surprised and a little confused, Stark composed herself as she read the hat and said, “Okay, Nick Bosa here with a message.”

The rest of the interview went normally.

While MAGA hats are typically red with white lettering, Bosa's was white with gold lettering, making it difficult to read on television and likely contributing to Stark's confusion.

Bosa's preferred presidential candidate probably won't be popular with an insignificant group of San Francisco's fans, but as long as he continues to put pressure on the QBs and help the 49ers win, they will likely continue to overlook his off-field antics and political opinions.
