Nicole Scherzinger appreciated Liam Payne in a touching post she just posted on Instagram.

If you didn't know, Nicole was also a judge Simon Cowell To The X Factor Britain and it actually helped shape it One direction. While he is often credited as the one who founded the band, a behind-the-scenes video shows that she was the one who chose the group's members.

Nicole I just worked with it too Liam to the Netflix competition series Building the bandwhich was filmed in the summer.

This was announced hours before her tribute was posted Nicole had written along Liam on the day of his death.

In her Instagram post Nicole shared some of the recent photos she took with Liam while on set with him and Kelly Rowland.

“Dear Liam, I will forever cherish and cherish the time we spent together, from fifteen years ago when One Direction was born to just a few weeks ago.” Nicole wrote. “It was a blessing to work with you recently. We shared the same love and passion for music and I will always remember the meaningful and joyful conversations we had.”

She added: “It is so hard to process that you are no longer here, but I am grateful to have known your kind heart, sweet soul and character. You brought so much joy, light and laughter into the lives of those who truly knew you. I will “miss” you, my friend, and carry you in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. 🙏🏽♥️.”
