Notre Dame has found its quarterback for 2025, flipping a Clemson commit

When Deuce Knight traded his verbal commitment from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to the Auburn Tigers, Marcus Freeman found himself in a tough spot.

Many of the top quarterbacks had already made their decisions, so the Irish had to find a committed player if they wanted to fill that need in the 2025 class. Mission accomplished on Monday when Blake Hebert traded from the Clemson Tigers to Notre Dame.

At 6'3″ and 200 pounds, he has the build you'd expect from a quarterback. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Hebert is considered the No. 400 overall prospect nationally.

This move came as a complete surprise as there had been no fuss between the two parties. Either way, it's a welcome move as the Irish desperately needed a quarterback in this class, and while he's not ranked as highly as Knight, Hebert wanted to be Irish.

It's the second strike of the day for Notre Dame, as former offensive lineman Cameron Herron opted out of Iowa and joined the Irish.
