Oklahoma Football Falls, LSU Takes a Step in SEC Power Rankings

The Oklahoma Sooners came off the bye week with few answers for the Texas Longhorns. The offense was lackluster on a three-point push, and the defense couldn't hold itself together during a 21-point outburst by Texas in the second quarter.

Sure, the Sooners have a lot of work to do on offense, but at some point you have to play the hand you're dealt. The coaching staff isn't helping its young quarterback much, and at the same time, Michael Hawkins Jr. doesn't seem willing to let go of the ball when throws come up.

Other than Maine, there are no more easy games on the schedule as Oklahoma still has to play South Carolina, Ole Miss, Missouri, Alabama and LSU. There aren't many promising opportunities for the Sooners to get six wins and secure bowl eligibility.

Elsewhere in the SEC, we had another week of incredible drama. South Carolina brought Alabama to the brink of another upset early in the game before Ole Miss and LSU delivered a thriller in prime time. The SEC has provided some fantastic cinema all season, but how do the teams stack up in this week's SEC Power Rankings?
