Oregon Duck shoots Sydney Sweeney and is shot down

During College GameDay early Saturday, the Oregon Ducks' famous mascot appeared in the background of the set. He was seen holding a sign that read “Sydney Sweeney Call Me Back.”

Sweeney is a famous actress who has made a name for herself in the acting world. The duck appeared to shoot at them and apparently never received a call back.

To add to the fun, Sweeney took to social media to respond to the Duck's message on College GameDay. She replied, “Sorry I changed my number haha.”

College GameDay is known for its hilarious antics, but this is one of the better ones. The duck mascot has also been known to cause his fair share of trouble and mischief over the years.

While he may not get a chance with Sweeney, the mascot needs to stay focused on the game tonight. His team will face the No. 2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, one of the top games of the weekend.

The College GameDay crew was divided on who they thought would win this game. Three votes went to the Ducks and three to the Buckeyes.

Here's the breakdown of who picked which teams will win this heavyweight bout:

Kirk Herbstreit: Ohio State

Desmond Howard: Oregon

Pat McAfee: Oregon

Nick Saban: Ohio State

(Student Selection) Kaitlin Olson: Oregon

Lee Corso (absent): Ohio State

Both Oregon and Ohio State are ranked in the top five this season, setting up an epic showdown at Autzen Stadium. Autzen has provided one of the best atmospheres in all of college football, so fans should be prepared for a great show.

This game could change the course of the season, both in terms of Big Ten standings and overall College Football Playoff rankings. The playoff committee will use this game to determine the ranking of each team, assuming both are among the twelve teams selected for the playoffs at the end of the year.

Unlike other seasons, there will be no drastic impact on the team losing this game unless there is a loss. With the new 12-team playoffs now in play, the losses are not as great, giving teams a second chance to show why they belong among the elite squads. This game between Oregon and Ohio State should be fun for everyone involved.
