LIVE UPDATES

Rebels' second drive | Another field goal

Another UNLV attack, another field goal. Caden Chittenden capped a 12-play, 59-yard drive with a 34-yard field goal, cutting Oregon State's lead to 10-7. The Rebels gained four first downs, but things went wrong in the red zone, where the Beavers forced Hajj-Malik Williams to complete two of three passes, including an errant throw on third-and-nine at the 16-yard line.

Second drive of the beavers | The first TD

It looked like for the third time in as many drives a team would march inside the 5-yard line only to settle for a field goal. But the Beavers broke the field goal streak when Gevani McCoy scored a 1-yard touchdown run on a fourth-down quarterback sneak, helping Oregon State take a 10-3 lead over the Rebels. McCoy went 4-for-4 on the drive, passing for 45 yards, and Anthony Hankerson rushed for 19 yards during a drive that went 75 yards in 12 plays and lasted 6:39.

First trip of the rebels | Another field goal

UNLV's first drive looked very similar to the Beavers'. The Rebels marched down the field with ease against OSU's defense, completing runs of 13, 10, 12 and 18 yards while collecting 83 rushing yards on their first possession. The big plays helped UNLV work inside OSU's 5-yard line… but the drive stalled there and – similar to OSU a few minutes earlier – the Rebels had to settle for a field goal. The game ends 3:3.

Beavers ride for the first time | OSU opened with a field goal

Oregon State used creativity and a nice mix of play calls to get the ball inside the UNLV 5-yard line. But the Rebels stuffed three consecutive plays near the goal line and the Beavers had to settle for a 20-yard field goal from Everett Hayes, who converted the kick to give OSU a 3-0 lead. The Beavers' opening drive included 11 plays, covered 77 yards and lasted 6:58…eight of the plays were runs and two were passes, and there was a bit of excitement in the middle of it all. Tight end Bryce Caufield rushed for the first down on an unusual play on third-and-2…he moved, stopped behind center, grabbed the snap and darted forward two yards for the first down. Four plays later, the Beavers also executed a successful Flea Flicker, which ended with a 44-yard strike from Gevani McCoy to Darrius Clemons. It looked like Clemons might have scored on that play, but he crossed the 4-yard line and the Rebels stuffed OSU's next three plays to force the field goal.

UNLV won the pregame coin toss and elected to postpone until the second half. Oregon State will receive the opening kickoff.
