Padres blocked Ken Rosenthal from the dugout after a critical column

Tatis posted a photo on his Instagram Story of himself celebrating a home run, and underneath he added a peacock and a dancing emoji, which appears to be a not-so-subtle nod to the Rosenthal column.

The Padres took things a step further in the third game of the intense series between the two NL West rivals.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, San Diego chose not to participate in an in-game interview with Rosenthal on Fox Tuesday night.

The boycott only applied to one game and interviews with Fox were expected to resume Wednesday night for Game 4.

The series between the Dodgers and Padres was particularly sensitive with several notable moments, from fans throwing objects at Padres players to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts' comments about Machado throwing a ball toward the Dodgers in Game 2 Los Angeles dugout threw.

All the drama, at least according to Profar, helped motivate the Padres' clubhouse.

“Like all these things – all these lies, I don’t know, man. It's a great team over there. I don’t think they need all these lies,” he said, according to the Union-Tribue. “We just have to play baseball. …Like Fernando's dance. You insult us. You throw things. You do everything. What should he do? Because of you he reacts like that, he dances like that.

“And they give the impression that no, he's dancing and taunting the fans. Do you think he just goes to the field to dance? Really?”
