Patrick Mahomes playfully taunts his former teammate during the Royals' rally against the Yankees in Game 3

Mahomes, the Chiefs' star quarterback who has led the franchise to three Super Bowl titles, jumped from his seat in celebration and then quickly walked over to Dieter, who had been standing at the other end of the suite.

Mahomes jumped at him and appeared to jokingly yell at him while Dieter laughed.

Dieter then pretended to raise his fists in a fighting pose before Mahomes turned away.

However, the former Chiefs player probably got the last laugh as the Yankees won 3-2.

Mahomes owns a small part of the Royals, and it was clear he wanted to be at the game, although he hinted it could lead to a falling out with his wife Brittany.

“That’s the plan; I just have to — it’s (the) bye week,” Mahomes said recently, according to Chiefs Wire. “So Brittany's vacation and my trip to the Royals game will definitely conflict.”

The NFL star wasn't the only Mahomes in the building on Wednesday night, as his brother Jackson was also in attendance.

The two posed for a photo – both in Royals jerseys.

They have to hope for a better result on Thursday night because if not, Kansas City's baseball season would be over.
